Always use a conditioner but contrary to some opinions make sure your rinse thoroughly, (leaving some conditioner in is not beneficial). If you have thin hair and you are finding that it is losing body even after using a conditioner then you are probably using the wrong conditioner.
How to Wash Hair:
- Don't rush washing your hair.
- First, thouroughly wet your hair running your fingers through it. Then pour shampoo into your hands, never directly onto your hair. Rub your hands together and and apply through the hair.
- Massage your scalp for thirty seconds but don't scratch it.
- Try to rinse for longer than you might usually, insufficient rinsing is the most common reason for limp hair.
- Pour the conditioner onto your hands just as you did with the shampoo. Make sure you condition the ends of your hair rather than rubbing into your scalp ( this can cause itchiness and flaking sometimes - conditioner is not designed for the scalp).
- Rinse and then rinse again.
- Wrap your hair in a towel and press to absorb moisture. Drying your hair roughly may cause breakage and even pull hair out!
- If you have to use a hairdyer, be careful not to dry hair completely. Instead stop just before your hair is completely dry and allow your hair to dry naturally.
